It’s been quite some time since Nokia sold their soul to the devil and pledged to exclusively utilize Windows Phone 7. It’s still too early to tell if this was a good choice or a bad choice as Nokia and Windows Phone 7 are still getting their footing in today’s highly competitive mobile market. But, it seems that just about everyone who has gotten their hands on the Lumia 900 have enjoyed its presence saying it’s one of the better smartphones on the market today. In other words, things do look promising.
However, just because Nokia made out well with the Lumia 900 doesn’t mean they’re looking to slow their roll anytime soon. In fact, if recent leaks are to be believed, it seems that Nokia is looking to move their design prowess to the recently announced Windows Phone 8. Said leaks suggest that several different Nokia phones that fall into their Lumia line up will be hitting the market running Microsoft’s forthcoming mobile platform. These phones include the Nokia Lumia 1001, Lumia 950 and finally, the Lumia 910. These rumors stem from a supposedly authentic screen shot of a Nokia developer tool that was posted online not too long ago. Unfortunately, there is virtually no way for us to confirm or deny this rumor as Nokia has understandably yet to step forth and speak of the matter.
However, given the fact that Nokia is very heavily invested in Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7, we would say it’s virtually inevitable that they will be releasing phones powered by Windows Phone 8. If, however, these devices will be named the Lumia 1001, 950 and 910 remains in question. Stay tuned as we look to uncover more.
